While it’s not necessarily the case that there is no cost involved, they are offered as a free home based business opportunity because there is no upfront fee to be paid to the firm offering the opportunity.

This doesn’t necessarily make them legitimate home based business opportunities just because they’re free, nor does not being free indicate that a home based business opportunity is not legitimate. In fact, if someone wishes to start his or her own home business and build their own creative idea into a successful venture it will cost money to start.

One of the best ways to get started for free in a home based business opportunity is to start small as an online merchant at one of the major auction sites. The first step in this venture is for the budding entrepreneur to simply take a look around the house, the office and the garage to see what is not in use and what might bring in some cash if put up for sale. The trick to making this start up venture free at the outset is to find what is already available, use it as the basis of the home based business opportunity and then take the sale proceeds to start buying up other items to sell. Of course, the trick is buying cheap and selling higher.

The merchant site has categories from which to choose. The seller writes the title for the listing, the description of the products being sold, and can add photos. Pricing must be chosen as well as the duration of each listing. Another thing that’s important with this free home business opportunity is to reveal to consumers the city and state in which the items are houses.
Starting out for free on an online merchant site with items already available is a great option for a budding entrepreneur who doesn’t have a ton of upfront financial resources.

This Service Corps of Retired Executives is made up of volunteers who have been where these beginning entrepreneurs have been and have succeeded. These folks used to be entrepreneurs themselves or business management professionals and they now offer their expertise in one on one face to face meetings, in group workshops or on the Internet.

When a new business owner needs help creating a business plan, designing marketing materials, deciding on a product or service, a business location, finding capital to get the business off the ground, to advertise for and hire the right people, to set up an accounting system, to pay taxes, and to expand operations, either of these fine organizations can help.

One Christian home based business marketplace that we studied included not only the listings of Christian businesses for sale, and Christian franchise opportunities but several other features as well helpful to would be Web entrepreneurs.

The categories of information and pages on this Christian home based business site included the mall itself (where the businesses for sale were displayed), Christian blogs, a category called Bible, one entitled E-cards and another called Articles.

Under the Christian home based business mall heading we found the ten top choices in home based businesses. What was questionable, though, about these so-called opportunities was that each wanted the consumer to fill out a feedback form but not one of them indicated the type of business or the contact information. So, while this site offered some good articles and information it may likely be one of the Internet marketing ploys disguising themselves as Christian home based business resources simply because the term Christian suggests honor and trustworthiness to many. This is something an entrepreneur looking for a home based business opportunity must be wary of.

The blogs section of this Christian home based business mall is set up with the mission of answering important Christian topic questions on marriage, evangelism, theology, prophecy, salvation, hell and yes, Christian home based business. Over 4000 questions are presented her.

The Bible section is a category of quizzes one can take to test and learn about what the scriptures say about dozens of topics. The user can choose to test their bible expertise on finances, creationism, poverty, abortion, stem cell, world religions and many other subjects.

The free e-cards might be just the thing to create top of the mind awareness for a Christian home based business. For little time and no expensive whatsoever the owner of the Christian home based business can send a birthday card, a happy holidays message, a sympathy card, a congratulatory message and many others to clients, coworkers, vendors, business associates and friends and family.

The articles portion of this site offers tips to the owners and managers of Christian home based businesses on topics as diverse as home equity loans, affiliate programs, getting an online degree, buying business insurance, and taking care of her or his health.

So, while the home based business opportunity list of this allegedly Christian site is somewhat questionable it’s still a helpful resource.

Small children need all a caregiver’s attention to be safe and secure, while that business opportunity might well be demanding the same – especially if customers are involved. Stay at home moms embarking on business opportunities should assume that child care is still going to be a necessary expense while they grow their business.

The one exception might be a child care center in the home. Many stay at home moms succeed at this, enjoy their business and still have time for their children. There are stringent regulations for at home child care centers, though, and these vary by state. Let’s look at a few of the regulations for these business opportunities for stay at home moms.

The state of Texas has actually made this business opportunity impossible for a stay at home mom, stating that licensing is only given for child care centers outside of the owner’s home.

In the state of California all stay at home moms or other caregivers who want to start a home child care business opportunity must attend a state-run orientation. They must be licensed, with a few exceptions. Anyone who is watching only her or his own children and the children of only one other family in their home need not be licensed. A cooperative arrangement where each parent of some members of the group of children being cared for takes her or his turn watching the children does not require any licensing.

The only circumstances under which such a coop would require licensing is if one or more of the adults supervising the children was not a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle or lawful guardian of at least one of the children; or if anyone is paid for the child care services; or if more than 12 children are being supervised.

California, as do many other states, requires that stay at home moms and others seeking home child care business opportunities attend several hours of emergency health care training including CPR, first aid for children, prevention and recognition of infectious disease, child nutrition, sanitary handling of food, emergency evacuation and recognition and reporting procedures if child abuse is suspected.

Child care business opportunities for stay at home moms are plentiful but do require preparation and strict attention to the little ones in their care.
